Work expectations are
those things people consider likely to happen in their job situation,
either now or in the future. Whether spoken or unspoken, met or unmet,
expectations have a powerful impact on our thoughts, feelings, and
behaviors, and play a key role in driving our attitudes. Research
shows that people who have clearly defined, well-communicated
expectations find more satisfaction and success in their work than
people whose expectations go unspoken or unrealized. And companies
that employ satisfied, successful people reap the rewards of increased
productivity and reduced turnover. |

Innovate With C.A.R.E. Profile® Products
Discover the Right Roles
for the Right People
The Innovate with C.A.R.E. Profile® identifies five key
roles in innovative team performance:
Creator: Generates original concepts, goes beyond the obvious, and
sees the big picture. Hands off tasks to an Advancer.
Advancer: Recognizes new opportunities, develops ways to promote
ideas, and moves toward implementation. Hands off tasks to a Refiner.
Refiner: Challenges and analyzes ideas to detect potential problems
and may hand plans back to an Advancer or Creator before handing off tasks
to an Executor.
Executor: Lays the groundwork for implementation, manages the
details, and moves the process to completion.
Facilitator: Works throughout the process to ensure tasks are handed
off to the right people at the right time.
The profile uses the “Z Process” to map the flow of assigning roles,
completing tasks, and handing off tasks to other team members. Using the
five C.A.R.E. roles in the “Z Process” gets new teams moving forward quickly
and gets current teams unstuck.

Transition
-- The Personal Path Through Change Facilitator's Sourcebook
Bridges' Transition Model
Phase 1: Endings
Every transition begins with an ending, a loss. When things change, people
leave behind the way things were — and the way they were in the previous
situation. They may be left searching for a new way to define themselves.
Phase 2: The Neutral Zone
A confusing in-between state, when people are no longer who and where they
were, but are not yet who and where they're going to be. While the Neutral
Zone can be distressing, it also provides many opportunities for creative
transformation.
Phase 3: New Beginnings
A new beginning can only happen after people have let go of the past and
spent some time in the Neutral Zone. In this phase, people accept the
reality of the change and start to identify with their new situation.
